Yong Chow Fried Rice, Cantonese for my dear Malay friends

                   This is especially for those lazy, lazy Sundays and it is very simple and tasty.


                         5 cups              cooked overnite rice
                         4 Tabsp           Oil
                         2                      Eggs, lightly beaten


                        150 gm               Fried Chicken
                        120 gm               Prawns, net weight


                           4 Tabsp          Diced Spring Onions
                     1 1/2 teasp           Ground White Pepper
                          3 Tabsp           Light Soya Sauce

  1. Heat 4 Tabsp oil, add in the prawns, stir then the lightly beaten eggs, stir the egg immediately in order to scramble it, add in the rice, use the laddle to break up the rice lumps, then the roast chicken.
  2. Add in "C"stirring for 2 - 3 minutes.


                     (a)  For Non Halal taste buds, use150 gm Char Siew instead of Roast Chicken;
                    (b)  We were duly informed by the Chef that No Garlic was to be used and that the real Yong Chow Frice Rice has no garlic, no mixed vegetables, just spring onions and what is listed above and I must say that he made it very tasty with just the above ingredients. I loved it.  It was so simple, not much ingredients but the taste and aroma was good.
